Accutane Patients with Chapped Lips
Dear Patient,
As a board certified Dermatologist, I have seen first hand how patients suffer while on Accutane. Although I believe that Accutane is a modern medical miracle, and that it will "cure" your acne, as you well know Accutane causes severe dryness of the lips. They say that necessity is the mother of invention, and nothing could be truer about this product. Dr. Dan's CortiBalm was formulated after many attempts to find a non-irritating, effective product for mild to severe dry lips.
This product is made of OTC (over the counter) strength 1% hydrocortisone in a non-irritating base. I personally believe that standard lip balms that contain camphor, phenol, menthol and flavorings are acutely irritating to the lips of Accutane patients.
If you develop a fever blister while on Accutane you should call your Dermatologist for appropriate treatment.
CortiBalm will not kill the virus associated with fever blisters and cold sores, although it will definitely help quicken the healing process by reducing the swelling, redness, dryness, and the topical aspects of fever blisters and cold sores and help them become less noticeable much quicker.
If you are going to use this product for mild to severe chapped lips, or any other lip irritation other than from Accutane, my advice is to use it for several weeks, and if no improvement is noted please see your physician.
This product is 100% guaranteed, and if you don't think it works better than your current lip balm, please call for a full refund. If you have any other questions or comments, please write or call Dr. Daniel Viders, P.O. Box 116 Milan, IN 47031, Toll free: 877-454-7225 - Main line: 812-654-2002.
